The Next Hive™ standard base presents a uniform 12mm opening to the front for the bees to enter. It has a strong, 1.6mm thick galvanised steel platform that is clad to the back and sides in 12mm marine ply that has been powder coated in ‘Classic Cream’.

Whilst marine ply has been selected for its outdoor suitability and durability, the finish of the ply parts is left to the beekeeper. We recommend a water-based paint or water-based clear finish for best results. Assembly is quick and easy with these simple to follow instructions.
